1. Data Collection and Transmission

Our app collects and transmits:
- Device or other IDs (Android ID, Firebase Installation ID, Push Token)
- Location Data (Foreground and Background)
2. Location Data Usage (Foreground & Background)
The KPC Mobile App uses location data to support the Attendance Feature.
- Foreground Location: Used when you manually clock in to verify your location.
- Background Location: Used to automatically detect when you enter a predefined work location (geofencing) and record attendance.
Background location access is required to ensure that attendance is recorded accurately even when the app is not actively in use.
Privacy Safeguards
- Location tracking is only active during official working hours configured by the organization.
- No location tracking occurs outside this time period.
- Location data is used only for attendance purposes.
- We do NOT track continuous movement or user behavior.
User Control
- You must explicitly grant location permissions.
- You can disable Auto Attendance at any time from app settings.
- You can revoke location permissions anytime from your device settings.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Attendance Tracking: To record employee attendance based on location.
- App Functionality: To send notifications and manage user sessions.
- Analytics: To improve app performance and reliability.
4. Data Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data.
- Google Firebase / Google Play Services: Notifications, analytics, crash reporting.
- Microsoft Azure: Secure backend services and data storage.
Location data is never sold or shared for advertising purposes.
5. Data Retention
Attendance records and related data are stored securely and retained only as long as necessary for operational and legal requirements.
6. Security
All data is transmitted securely using HTTPS (TLS encryption).
7. Children’s Privacy
This app is not intended for children under 13.
